We are an independent, heritage theatre, situated at the heart of the English Riviera, in the beautiful and famous fishing port of Brixham.
Our home is a fabulous Mid Victorian, Grade II listed building. The theatre is purpose built and is part of the Town Hall complex. It is set right in the centre of the town. We boast a large stage and a traditionally decorated auditorium. We offer a year-round programme of events to cater for all tastes. These include a wide variety of live music, plays by local and touring theatrical groups, comedy and film shows. Do look at our exciting programme!
The Theatre is unusual, in that it is managed wholly by volunteers. We see ourselves as being very much rooted in our local community whilst welcoming guests from all over the country. We apply the highest professional standards to our work whilst maintaining the very friendly atmosphere that is often commented upon by our visitors.
Visitors can be sure that we are very mindful of Covid security, and are signed up to the SIS Compliance kite mark, to ensure up-to-date standards are met.
Travel from anywhere in South Devon is quite straightforward. We are immediately adjacent to a large public car park and the bus station. The building is fully accessible with lift access to the auditorium.
In addition to visitors we would love to receive expressions of interested from anyone who might like to join us as a volunteer. There are many areas in which you could join our various teams.
Please explore our website for further details of all of the above.
