Brixham’s past came to life this month with outdoor performances in our Theatre Round the Harbour events, celebrating stories from the town’s history.

Stories about the seamen’s boys’ orphanage, the Great Gale of 1866, the bravery of The Provident crew, the landing of Prince William of Orange and the lives of fish hawkers were enacted along with music from Hooligans Rule and Maggie Duffy, there was even a chance to learn how to dance the hornpipe!

Theatre Round the Harbour takes place every Tuesday evening between 6.30pm and 9pm. Our next 2 performances will be on the 18th and 25th Aug.

From the evocative tales of old, giving us a flavour of Brixham’s history and times gone by, to the fantastic traditional seafaring songs from talented local performers and singers, why not come along, join in and celebrate our town’s rich maritime heritage.
Please note after the 6.30pm start, all timings are approx
