Project X is Brixham Theatre’s in-house drama group and their performances raise money for the theatre towards refurbishment projects.
Started in 2018, the group is steadily building a reputation for comedy and drama.
Every play follows weeks of rehearsals where our directors enable and encourage members to stretch themselves, experiment with new techniques and grow as actors and crew. Team bonding is crucial so the group meets regularly at the theatre for read-throughs and rehearsals, as well as at each other’s homes.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings and, as the play progresses, Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons are added. Performances are usually Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings with a gathering after the final performance to celebrate and thank everyone who was involved.
Previous performances:
Comedy Bites – A food-based sketch show
Bowing Out – An interactive comedy murder mystery
Play On – A play that goes wrong
Murdered to Death – An Agatha Christie spoof
Agatha Crispie – A play that didn’t involve Agatha Christie!
Murder in the Studio – 3 plays by the Queen of Crime as part of the Agatha Christie Festival
Ghosts at the Grange – A spooky comedy murder mystery
